More! I'm on a roll...

Is anyone reading this blog besides my mom?
Comment please! Do you like my pictures? Why? Not like them? Porque? Like some of them? Porquoi? Not like some of them? Sei la. :)

I'm interested. Do tell. Thanks. :)

And I'll just throw one in of me for fun. It's not easy taking a photo of yourself at arms length and making sure it's in focus. I would know.

  1. Ok here's my 2 cents. :) Love the angles on them. That's one of the hardest parts to get down (which I don't think I will ever get). A couple seem a little washed out and a couple seem a little too blurry to tell there's a subject in the back. But I don't know anything about photography so that's my inexperienced opinion! Great work~looks like you learned a ton!

  4. ok, I shall comment since I occasionally wander by. I think they look amazing! I especially love when you capture the eyes (like the last 2). Since I have absolutely no skill or talent all I can do is be amazed. In fact I adore your most recent post of the cute redhead. Hopefully my future little red-heads are so photogenic.

  5. Okay, I also love how you've captured eyes in this post. The color is cool. I don't like the one with the baby on the lap very much. It seems like there is too much dead space to the right with just the floor to see, but that's just my opinion. I love the first one with baby hanging over the shoulder and the angle of the photographer in the field. I was also a little confused when I looked at the one of the feet. They are really bright and don't seems to be the main focus of the photo. My eye is more drawn to the kids' faces, but their blurred, so then I get confused. I also like the blurred family on the beach, the angle is interesting. It might be cool to see that picture in a higher f-stop like 2.8 just to see a few more details in the family. Overall I'm super impressed! You're a great photographer. :)

  6. Wow, I'm LOVING these suggestions and encouragements. Seriously, thank you. I want to become better, but sometimes I stare at my work too long to actually see when there are things to be improved. THANK YOU!

  7. So I agree with pretty much what everyone else is saying. I love the shots, LOVE the eyes, and I think that the photos with the blurred image in the background could use some work... Like the one with the feet-- it took me a second to figure out that the feet were in focus, because there was so much of "other" stuff in the pic. Also, can't remember which post-- the foreground is in focus with a couple or something in the background, but the foreground focus was not on anything particularly interesting, so it just looked weird. I LOVE your use of color, though. It's enhanced, but it still looks natural. That's AWESOME. I would not be surprised if you won that contest with that cute flower-child photo. Sweet!
